Lots of gore at Wilshire Park Haunt

Wilshire Park Association is throwing a Halloween Haunt—its 17^th—Sat., Oct. 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Bronson Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Eighth Street.

“The event has morphed from a simple front-yard get-together into our major social and fundraising event,” said Wilshire Park Association President Lorna Hennington.

Festivities will include a hot dog stand and a bake sale. You can get your fortune told, play games, and go trick-or-treating, of course.

Following up on last year’s successful debut, the Haunt will again have a stage featuring live music from several different bands made up of local students.

A haunted house will be featured, and a costume contest will take place on stage in between the music acts. Several homes will be hosting yard games and photo ops.

The silent auction was a huge hit again last year and will be back again this year. Everyone loved taking the opportunity to get a jump on holiday shopping and support our neighborhood.
