Taste of Larchmont leaves absolutely nothing on the table
If there’s one thing these warm, humid nights have benefitted this summer, it’s the Taste of Larchmont. The annual event, which took place Sept. 14, was an evening both lovely and warm, providing a perfect late-summer backdrop while strolling, tasting, and drinking yummy selections from 16 locations on or around the Boulevard.

FANS Charlie M., Harvey T., and Ben F. give the Taste of Larchmont three big thumbs up!
The Taste of Larchmont is a fundraiser that benefits HopeNet LA, a nonprofit organization that operates 12 local food pantries in the Los Angeles metro area. The group is well known in the city for providing free food to over 200,000 people per year, having served over three million people since 1988. Created by The Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society in 1993, the event was born out of an idea to raise money to feed the unhoused people who were showing up in greater and greater numbers on the Boulevard. Some of the restaurants that joined this year’s fundraiser included Cookbook Market, Go Greek Yogurt, Great White, Kiku Sushi, Louise’s Trattoria, Bacio di Latte, La Bettola Di Terroni, and Le Pain Quotidien. There was no jacket required from 6 to 9 p.m. as neighbors bumped into each other up and down the pavement, laughing and eating while catching up as families returned from summer holidays.

Larchmont Village Wine and Cheese served up platter upon platter of cheese and charcuterie piled high, their famous sandwiches, and even had a little wine-tasting. Levain Bakery offered up it’s ever-so-popular chocolate chip and double chocolate cookies, while Louise’s Trattoria gave patrons a plateful of pizza, pasta, and Caesar salad.
When asked their thoughts on the event, local children Charlie M., Harvey T. and Ben F. excitedly announced, “It’s very fun, unique, and has great food! Bacio di Latte gave big portions. It wasn’t a scam!”
With every delicious bite, one wondered how they could possibly eat more, but lo and behold, there was always a little shelf in the stomach that allowed for one more bite, one more taste, one more “twist my arm I’ll take a plate!” For those of you who have never heard of the Taste of Larchmont, it takes place every September. It’s one of those great “third spaces” in the city you always hear about, and for $50 a ticket, it is a must for your 2027 calendar. Put it on the docket now, before you forget!
