Slurpy greetings, love, lots of play, and lounging abound

Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, even though science tells us they all hail from the mighty wolf. Cats, too, come from sturdy stock. But wherever they came from, they’ve burrowed deep into our hearts and our homes. This year’s Pets of Larchmont features dozens of the furry friends, plus a chicken and a rooster.

Boo

“This picture of Boo was taken minutes after he came into my life Oct. 29, 2025,” said Michael Soriano, of La Vista Court. The schnoodle, a schnauzer/poodle mix, “walks through Larchmont Village every day, and boy, does he get a lot of attention, which he loves every bit of. He really loves everyone, be it human, dog, or cat,” said Soriano.

Little Amalfi sports a bow tie at his Willoughby Avenue home, where the 2 ½-year-old pup lives with Lilly Filipow.

Penny, 8, “loves to energetically greet both neighbors and their pets in our neighborhood,” Maggie Liang and Andrew Dwulet said. “We bought our first home here early last year, and we love the area, the friendly neighbors and the community feel in this pocket of L.A.,” they added.

Emmet, Franklin, and Oscar

A frisky trio, Emmet, Franklin, and Oscar, live on Arden Boulevard with Peter Golden and Ty Williams.

Missy, a Rotterman (Rottweiler/Doberman mix) and Sonny, a European Doberman, “are amazing guard dogs and great family dogs,” said Robin Jameson, of South Lucerne Boulevard.

Eugene Ahtirski sent a handsome photo of Kokomo sporting an evening sweater. “He is well known on the Boulevard…and often can be seen at the counter at Tailwaggers looking for a treat,” Ahtirski said.

and pet watches along the Boulevard,” Adrienne and Stephen Cole tell us. “Mr. Matisse just loves his daily walks to Larchmont,” they added.

Milo lives with Kay Han and John Park on South Plymouth Boulevard. “He turned 16 in May but is going strong!” Han says.

Hercules just got back from a business meeting (grooming at Tailwashers, who add a bit of a flair to amp up the post-groom cuteness factor),” his “servants,” Elizabeth Malloy and Dan Sturman, of Beachwood Drive, tell us.

Vic and Katie Zimmermann just moved to North Lucerne Boulevard from New York City, and Mia, their “6-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is “loving her new L.A. lifestyle, where the outdoors and sunshine beat the cold concrete of NYC!” Vic said.

Little Guy

David Strah and his partner, Brad Brefeld, submitted their handsome boys, Shep, 8, and Elton, 3. “The photo was taken in Framebridge [frame shop on Larchmont], just before Shep freaked out and ran out of the store, booking it down Larchmont in a full sprint,” Brad told us.

Roger Kuehn Lauritsen

Roger Kuehn Lauritsen, a small dog with a regal name, lives in Windsor Village with Adelaide Kuehn.

Pookie “is a foster via my sister,” Christopher Aspinall said. “She travelled with my husband [Stephen Hallowes] and I from the UK last year. The three of us were on the same plane, although Pookie was in the hold of course…We live on North Arden Boulevard and love it, for her especially, the variety of suntraps L.A. offers.”

Jennifer Adam’s “fur baby” Maggie, 5, is an English springer spaniel. The pair enjoy life on North Lucerne Boulevard.

Adorable Buddy, a 4-year-old sheepadoodle, lounges in Ron and Linda Marks’ backyard, on South June Street.

Rio enjoys relaxing on the balcony, said Michele Werdin, of Wilcox Avenue.

Stella and Stanley catch some much-needed rest after a long night of sleeping soundly,” Melanie and Ron Mulligan, of North Beachwood Drive, tell us.

Reggie

“Six-year-young Sophie Goodman is living her best life at home in Windsor Square, and on Larchmont Boulevard, where you can spot her beautiful face every day at Tailwaggers, Larchmont Beauty Center, and Village Heights,” Susie Goodman said. “She is photographed on a Legacy bench on Larchmont donated in 2025 by her grandmother, Sheila Goodman, located in front of Tailwaggers,” she added.

Charming Birdie lives on Ridgewood Place with Petty Cooper.

Fitz plays ball on North Lucerne Boulevard, where he lives with Rachel Marmor.

Carl visits Larchmont with Meghan Bernstein and Matt Tedrow from their home near Third Street and La Brea Avenue.

Kodak

Cary Trampf and Crescenzo Notarile’s “16-year-old little girl, Kodak, has fun in the neighborhood,” said Trampf.

“Our family—Hayley, Ben, Ty, Jackson, and Wilder Smith—live on North Beachwood Drive, with Phoebe, said Hayley. “We love our sock-stealing, mischievous goldendoodle!” Hayley added.

Lovely Rutheena (aka Ruthie) forages and scratches the ground at a home in Windsor Square she shares with two rescue cats, four rescue dogs, and Lara Magnusen.

Gordissimo lives with Carlos on South Lucerne Boulevard and his pet Bestie.

Pesci is the new puppy of Alex Ferri, an acupuncturist at Healing Hands Wellness Center. “I’m so excited to take him around beautiful Larchmont!” Ferri said.

Award-winning Little Guy, 7, lives in Larchmont with Sarah Froman and Nathan Lyon.

Reggie, a Maine coon, and Lucy, a Scottie, are “loved and adored by the Dalton Family in Fremont Place,” Julie Dalton said.

Lottery, a sweet golden retriever, lives with smitten newcomers to the neighborhood, Tory Kamen and Jimmy Blackmon, on Beachwood Avenue.

Ouiser and Magnolia

Adorable Ouiser and Magnolia live with Tifani Welch on Clinton Street.

Jully Pae and Dougie reside on North Lucerne Boulevard, next door to Sandy C. and Dougie’s best friend, Willie.

 

Jordan and Cassie were adopted from Kitt Crusaders and are now living their best lives with Kingsley Lew in St. Andrews Square.

Pippin and Pum-Pum are on duty for any falling scraps at Kate D. and Marty B.’s in St. Andrews Square.

Border collie Django enjoys the outdoors with Michael Neal and Karen Bizzini on North Gower Street.

Pajama lives with Juli Weiner on Rossmore and Rosewood avenues.

Airedale terrier Bosley and Sherita Starks, of Gramercy Place: “We walk to Larchmont everyday! Everyone at the village knows Bosley!”

Everyone on Larchmont knows and loves Elvin, who visits the Boulevard with Jeff regularly.

Samosa moved to North Arden Boulevard last fall. “She loves sunbathing and hanging out in her new backyard,” Camille Waddell said.

Clive is a proud entry in the 2025 book, “What kind of dog is that?’ by Grace Chon. Adopted from MaeDay Rescue, Clive is 1/3 poodle and 10% supermutt, said Julie Wolfson, of North Citrus Avenue.

Dolly

A wonderful dog, Dolly, shares his Wilcox Avenue home with three cats, CeCe, Billy, and Greta, as well as Michael and Becky Taccone.

Patsy “has grown up on the Boulevard,” said Teva Corwin, of Van Ness Avenue.

On a typical Sunday on Larchmont Brian Love was spotted with his pal, a rooster named 46Sanders.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Love said, “I came here to explore my music, but 46Sanders has been taking over,” as was apparent with all the attention the rooster was receiving.

And last but not least Nadine, 4, an albino ball python, lives with Mara Fisher and Dean Schneider.
