Green corn tamales have returned for their annual appearance at El Cholo (May through October). On the heels of the March 30, 2023 naming of the intersection of 11th and Western Avenue as Alejandro and Rosa Borquez Square, El Cholo owner Ron Salisbury and numerous dignitaries kicked off the green corn tamale season on April 24.
