Gardens in Brookside, Sycamore Square, Wilshire Park and possibly Fremont Place will be on the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council Drought-Tolerant Garden Tour Sat., June 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. commencing at Los Angeles High Library Memorial Park, 4625 W. Attendees of the second annual event may procure maps of the gardens at the meeting point for the self-guided and free tour.

The GWNC is encouraging community members to self-nominate their gardens or nominate a neighbor’s garden for the tour. Nominations must include the address and a photograph of the garden submitted to sustainability@greaterwilshire.org by Mon., May 14.

At the meeting point, Rain Barrels Intl. will conduct a class on rainwater harvesting and explain distributing rain barrels for sale, which are eligible for City of Los Angeles Rain Barrel Rebates. Other guests to be announced.
