Los Angeles County Museum of Art Architect visits construction site
VISITING THE MIRACLE MILE in late July, to inspect progress on the under-construction David Geffen Galleries building of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), was the building’s Pritzker Prize-winning architect, Peter Zumthor of Haldenstein, Switzerland (left), shown with Michael Mann, FAIA, managing director and partner in the Los Angeles office of Skidmore Owings & Merrill (SOM). Mann is leading SOM’s work as collaborating architect for the $650 million project.
