Yom HaShoah 80th-year commemoration is April 27 at HMLA
The 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and the recent devastating L.A. fires will be remembered at “Beyond Liberation” the theme of this year’s Yom HaShoah Commemoration at the Holocaust Museum LA, 100 The Grove Drive, on Sun., April 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Featured speakers at the event include Senior Rabbi Amy Bernstein of Kehillat Israel in Pacific Palisades, Holocaust survivor Erika Fabian in conversation with Fox 11 anchor Elex Michaelson and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky.
Music will be provided by Senior Cantor Lizzie Weiss of Temple Emanuel in Beverly Hills, harpist Paige Kim and violinst Ilana Kleiman; artists Tomer Peretz and Gabriella Karin will debut an original canvas to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation.
