Enjoying the day
The 39th annual block party was held on the 300 block of S. Lucerne Blvd. in October with some 120 neighbors and friends for some good old fashioned neighborly fun.
Live music was provided by a dynamic band and delicious Persian food of chicken and luleh kebob, grilled tomatoes and rice was served. Cupcakes from Hansens and yummy Choctal ice cream were a huge hit.
Petersen Museum provided a 1934 LaSalle Series 350 Convertible Coupe for all to enjoy. Some neighbors played ping pong while others got very serious competing in an egg toss.
Psychic Melinda Hess provided insightful readings while others had their faces painted and their funny bones tickled by Silly Amy the clown. All in all, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood and we’re very proud of our rich tradition.
