Ye on Larchmont!

Larchmont had an unexpected visitor this week. Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) was holding auditions on Larchmont on Tuesday and Wednesday. According to flyers, “winners” were told they might have to shave their heads and be comfortable wearing clothing that has a swastika on it. Ye has rented a warehouse in the neighborhood, at the corner of Beverly and Kingsley, and has received numerous noise complaints. Neighbors have been quoted saying that loud music has been playing into the late hours and there have been long lines of men waiting to get in.

There has been no indication what the “audition” is for, but fans and others have been speculating that it might be for the release of new music or a performance art piece.

Ye’s songs “Carnival” and “Black Skinhead” are heard booming from PAs that sit on the property directly across the street from a school.
