The historic Ebell is among neighborhood features of the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Tour of Windsor Village on Sat., Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.
Julie Stromberg, tour organizer, said it begins at the pergola area of newly renovated Harold A. Henry Park, 890 S. Lucerne Blvd. (between Francis Ave. and 9th Street).
Many of Windsor Village’s architectural gems, a tour of Harold A. Henry Park and the exterior of the Wilshire Methodist Church—with an exploration on Moorish influences on Spanish Colonial Revival Architecture—will be offered.
Visitors will have an exclusive peek inside the Ebell of Los Angeles; the Italian renaissance revival building was built in 1927.
A national landmark, it was designed by architect Sumner Hunt.
