Hundreds of people, including many families with children, turned up on the lawns of Hancock Park (the county park, not the subdivision) to celebrate the halfway point of construction for the first phase of the Purple Line subway extension from Western Avenue to La Cienega Blvd. Community leaders from Miracle Mile and Sycamore Square, as well as the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council, had booths, as did Metro vendors.
The next Metro community meeting on this phase of the extension project is Thurs., July 18, at the SAG-AFTRA building at Curson and Wilshire. Learn more at: metro.net/projects/notices/events_purpleline
